RCIC’s have to meet rigorous criteria and are regulated by the ICCRC (Immigration Consultants of Canada Regulatory Council) on an ongoing basis.
The council was created by the Canadian government to protect those who wish to obtain services from Canadian immigration consultants. As an RCIC, it is our responsibility to follow the code of conduct set forth by the federal mandate, IRPA (Immigration and Refugee Protection Act).
This requires anyone who is receiving fees or other considerations for their services as immigration and citizenship counselors, to remain in good standing to maintain their ICCRC membership. The only exceptions are members who are in good standing of a law society in Canada or the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
Abiding by this code of conduct not only builds trust with our clients but enables us to stay knowledgeable of the ever-changing legislation.
